Pit Zone

The Pit Zone is an invitation-only registration system.  When your coach invites you to register with the team you will receive an invitation email from the NICA Pit Zone.  The invite comes from donotreply@nationalmtborg. If you can not find this email, be sure to check your spam folder.  If you did not receive it, check with your coach to make sure they invited you with the correct email address.  

Once you receive your invite, click on the invitation link, follow the registration process, filling in all information.  Make sure to sign the electronic waivers and pay your registration fees. 

  • Student-athletes will not be “Practice Ready” until all required agreements are signed and the annual NICA and league membership fees are paid.
  • Coaches will not be licensed until all required agreements are signed, coach registration fee is paid, and all annual coach licensing requirements are complete.

Student Registration Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register through the Pit Zone?

Your coach sends an email invitation from the Pit Zone.  Once you have clicked on the invitation link, follow the registration process, filling in all information and pay the NICA/League fees.

How do I know if I am “Practice Ready” and what does Practice Ready mean?

Practice Ready means you have:

  1. Completed your registration information in the Pit Zone
  2. Paid your NICA and League Membership Fees.

You will also see under your “Rider Information” on the left hand side a note: Practice Ready: YES. 

I can’t remember my email/username to login.

The email invitation was sent to the email you used to sign up. Your coach can also verify your email login.  If you forgot your password, click on the forgot password link.

I entered incorrect information (e.g. birthdate, medical information), how do I change this?

Re-login and change.

My school or area does not have a team, how do I register?

If your school does not have a team (either a School-Based Team or a Composite Team that covers your school) please contact info@northcarolinamtb.org.

Coach Registration Questions

Can past student athletes be coaches?

Yes! League alumni are encouraged to become coaches. We cover Leaders Summit and On-the-Bike Training costs for league alumni. Being 18 years or older is a requirement to coach.

Why do I have a Red Exclamation mark next to my name?

The Red Exclamation mark indicates that a coach is missing one of the requirements to confirm their coach license.  If you hover over the Red Exclamation mark, it will list what items are missing.
